Where do I go when I get there?

Whether you are attending early in order to catch one of our Sunday School classes or just coming for our morning services, your best point of entry will be our double doors in the large building for services and up the ramp for Sunday school or children’s classes. There should be no problem parking in the front of the church and we also have handicap parking available in this location as well. We will have someone available in the foyer to help you locate classrooms, restrooms, our nursery, or just finding the right seat for our services. Our hope is to make you feel comfortable as you enter and also to ensure that you truly feel the love of Christ throughout your visit with us.

What is in place for the kids?

At Mt Gilead Baptist, we fully understand that our kids are our future and we always strive to create fun and structured classes so that they can grow and learn about Jesus as they also learn to interact with each other. We offer a nursery at all of our services, to include Sunday School. During our morning services, we also offer a children’s church option. One is for our pre-K through 2nd grade.

How long is the service?

Gatherings last about an hour and 10 minutes. We start by singing three or four songs which are a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary songs followed by our morning message. To get a feel for our teaching style, you can listen to one of our recent sermons on this site or on our Facebook page. We always try to offer an opportunity to pray as we end our services to ensure you can respond to what you heard or felt from God.

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Can I attend if I’m ________?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broken, an addict, bi-racial, a skeptic, etc. We welcome everyone regardless of what is in your life. we know that Jesus tells everyone to come as you are and we follow the same principle. The church is meant for healing and worship, not people who believe they are perfect! So come as you are, and we’ll see you on Sunday!
